Far better than I expected given the price, with some nice attention to detail - found all the different screw combinations a bit of a pain but got there in the end - very easy to put together - you only need 1 other person to hold a panel in place - soon as you have 2 panels together you can do the rest on your own. Great little hen house - our broody hen Dotty has moved in - she seems very happy with the new home.

Good value, easy to put together and sturdy. I think the quality is also good....for the price. At this price point you have to be realistic about what you're getting. I've painted mine otherwise i didn't think, given the quality of timber, it would last more than a couple of seasons. For this money i think that's fine though. In terms of space, the coup itself is fine for 5 or so large foul if you're letting them roam. The run element is not big enough for any number of chickens (large or bantam) if you're thinking of keeping them in there permanently. The run suffices to keep them contained for a few hours or the odd day. Not sure that's how it's being sold so can't say that positive or negative but just concerned that those new to chickens without much space might assume this is adequate space on it's own - it's not! If i had a minor niggle its that the laying box and roof are both screwed in place rather than detachable which means cleaning is difficult unless you turn the whole thing on it's side. Yes it has a slide out tray and the laying box lid lifts but this isn't really enough to get to the whole of the interior easily.
